Argentium Wire
My preference for Argentium wire is due to its high tarnish resistance, 100% Nickel-Free composition, and hypo-allergenic properties from Germanium. Argentium Wire is 93.5% Silver, 5.5% Copper, and 1% Germanium, whereas Sterling Silver Wire is 92.5% Silver and 7.5% Copper (.925 Sterling Silver). Copper in Sterling Silver reacts with air, causing tarnish, but Germanium in Argentium Wire slows this process. Argentium Wire is more expensive, reflecting its quality.

Swarovski
Swarovski is an Austrian producer of crystals and pearls, and jewellery. Founded in 1895. However, at the end of 2020, Swarovski discontinued its sale of beads and components, to maintain the integrity of its product. The majority of companies still have plenty of stock for designers to continue their work.

Preciosa
Produces an almost identical product to Swarovski, and many consumers are switching to Preciosa due to Swarovski discontinuing sale of loose components.
Founded in 1948, and located in the Czech Republic.

Filigree
Filigree is an ancient art form.Wires generally were interwoven to create a delicate lace-like structure. In Egyptian times Gold and Silver were used.
The Filigree bases I use are made from high quality brass, Tombac and Zamak metals. These are stamped. Generally sourced from Israel.
My choice of plating is Antique Silver.
